Some suggest that when Hololive started out, Oozora Subaru (also a Hololive member) called Ayame as "Ayame-ojou", which is a more searchable name online than her real name. Hence, other Hololive members and staff called her as "Ojou" over time. Other suggest, Ayame mentioned that the methods of parenting in her family was strict, shaping her as a very polite Oni. In addition, Ayame uses "Yo" as her first-person pronoun, which is a more traditional way to address oneself. Therefore, Ayame gets the nickname of "Ojou". By the way, the fan name of "Nakiri-gumi" is created to emphaize the name of "Ojou".
